Each of the pieces made by Anneliese are (witch)crafted in luminal space with intention and magic included with each stitch. The patterns include repeating mystical numbers and the fiber and colors are chosen with specific reference to magical function and purpose of the item. You might say that each piece is a magic spell onto itself
Crochet is a weaving technique that probably originated from an earlier form of needlework from China called Tambour and arrived in France in the 1700s. From there, its popularity spread throughout Europe in the 1800s and we have our Scotch-Irish immigrant ancestors to thank for bringing crochet to American mountain folk in Appalachia and the Ozarks. My lineage from the Ozarks is riddled with fanatical crocheters who wove love, intention and magic of their own into each crocheted doily, sweater, afghan, scarf, tea cosy, flower pot holder, throw rug, wall hanging, table runner and toilet paper concealer. My Nana and her church ladies were the original crochet bombers. And as they crocheted, they told tales, laughed, gossiped, listened, sympathized, gave advice and imbued their creations with granny magic. In my experience, no granny afghan color choice is random and no pattern is coincidental. The trick to understanding crochet spellcraft is being able to decode the magical messages woven in.
Almost all of the fibers I work with are blends that are washable. This isn’t fancy schmansy fine fiber knitting for folks with the time or inclination to hand wash. These items are meant to be used, washed, loved and used again. The magic of crochet is first and foremost, its practical use. If you aren’t cuddling up with it to watch TV, wrapping it around you to stay warm or setting it out to decorate and make you smile, you ain’t doing it right.

Along the edge of the scarf are fiery red 13 stitch ‘eyes’ separated by 26 (13x2) stitches. A magical fiery boundary of eyes that will keep away any scrutiny, criticism or negativity from the place where you express yourself to the world.
Wear this scarf when entering large groups of strangers or situations that have potential for verbal conflict or criticism as a means of deflecting the negative energy away from yourself. Allow your vocal center to remain warm, nurtured and protected from the barbs flying around you.

Elven Shawl
HAND WASH ONLY cotton/cashmere/alpaca blend hand crocheted shawl ethically (witch) crafted in ritual space in a repetitious stitch of nines. This incredibly light and yet, incredibly warm shawl embraces the dichotomy of both etherial and physical energies.
How can something with the texture of lace insulate so well?
What color is the shawl? It appears to be white until you look closer and notice it is pink and green and blue and violet all at the same time.
Elves are renown for their unworldly craftsmanship and this must be Elven magic. And, assuming Elves crochet, I’m sure they are taking credit for this shawl.
This shawl demands daily wear as a magical talisman of protection and empowerment.
Nornir Prayer Shawl
Washable alpaca blend hand crocheted prayer shawl ethically (witch) crafted in ritual space by invoking the energy and mystery of the Nornir. This is a shawl intended for someone wishing to expand their psychic and divinatory skills by connecting deeper to the 3 mysterious fates called the Nornir. The Nornir--Urd, Verdandi and Skuld--live at the foot of the World Tree and are responsible for weaving the fate of reality as we know it.
This shawl may be worn daily for warmth and awareness of the presence of the Nornir. Those seeking to work directly with the Nornir are encouraged to adopt this as a ritual specific tool worn when stepping into magical space and engaging energies for magical practice.
Either way, this shawl will easily become a favorite item infused with the protection, comfort and wisdom of the three mysterious and powerful creatrix of birth, life and death in the Northern Tradition.
Glamour Cowls (Various Types)
Acrylic and Cotton yarn ethically witch crafted cowls for the witch-on-the-move who needs portable, glamour magic.
Intended to be worn in ordinary non-magical space as a protective glamour device against evil eye, curses, hexes or other negative juju. Star stitches in some of the cowls are traditionally protective symbols used throughout fiber textile history (including our National flag) against negativity. Colors vary between the cowls with each invoking different types of glamour energies intended. Rainbow yarn and star stitches protect and distract energies while cotton ombre pinks and reds stir affection and love glamour magic.
Each cowl is created individually to a particular purpose and practitioners of glamour magic are encouraged to contact Anneliese privately to discuss their own intentions when working this particular variety of spellcasting.
