Introduction to Runes

What ARE runes?

Rune is an ancient word that means “secret” or “mystery” as a sacred concept but the word betrays nothing of the secret or mystery implied.

?Are runes an ancient alphabet?

?A power magic symbol?
?An energetic force of the universe?

Yes. The runes are all of the above and more.

Join Anneliese on an introductory exploration of what (or who?) runes are. Together we will explore some of the symbols and their meanings as they show up for you individually and for the group as a class. Not all runes will be discussed. Instead we will reach into the bag and see who shows up.

By the end of the class, you will be able to:

--Identify three ways the runes may be understood or applied;
--Experience the runes as a tool for magical practice;
--Connect with 3 concepts associated with at least 5 runes.
